Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) was a conservative movement formed in 1960. Conservative intellectual William F. Buckley gathered with students at his home in Sharon and inspired them to form the YAF. The YAF’s Sharon Statement campaigned for the free market to be the basis for the destruction of global communism and personal freedom.
